Get to know Dylan — a Philly-based visual mastermind with a natural gift for content marketing. As an Account Manager + Content Strategist, Dylan helps to manage projects and create a variety of content for our clients, including social media, website copy, blog writing, and strategy.

Where were you born, and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Delaware, and currently live in Philadelphia.
What are your favorite ways to spend your free time outside of work?
I love photography and videography, and a lot of my free time is spent thinking about new visual concepts to work on. I also enjoy discovering new music for my playlists, game nights with friends, and traveling with my girlfriend.
If you could choose to be an animal, which would you choose?
Maybe an eagle? They get to fly and live near the water.
Name one marketing mistake many brands make but can easily be avoided.
Prioritizing quantity over quality! Oftentimes, when developing a content strategy the mindset going into it is “the more posts we share, the more opportunities for engagement we get” but that’s not necessarily the case. Engaging, interesting, eye-catching content is what draws people in and keeps their attention.
What are your goals for this year?
Personally: I want to be more present and appreciate the “right now”.
Professionally: I would like to continue expanding my strengths within the field of digital marketing.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Friendly, creative, and motivated.
What are you currently binge-watching?
This Is Us! My girlfriend has been catching me up over the past few weeks, it’s such a well-written show.
You are hosting a dinner party and get to invite 3 famous people (dead or alive), who do you choose?
Hmm… Donald Glover, Mac Miller, and Jordan Peele.
If you had to pick one artist/song to narrate your life from this point on, what would it be?
I would have to go with Drake because he has a huge discography at this point — there’s a song that fits with every mood.
How do you take your coffee?
With the perfect amount of vanilla creamer, the goal is like a light khaki color.
What is one thing you believe every marketer should know?
How to properly identify their target market. You can’t advertise a product or service without knowing who you’re talking to and how to reach them.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to work in marketing! My mom is a business teacher and my dad is an entrepreneur, so I gained a lot of my interests from watching them work. I used to say I wanted to be a businessman and advertise things.
What is your favorite part about working for Aimtal?
I enjoy being able to work remotely; it’s given me the opportunity to curate a workspace and a daily routine that helps me stay productive and engaged throughout the day.
What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled to? Which destinations are at the top of your travel list?
My last pre-COVID trip was a week in Miami with two of my closest friends, I had a great time! For my travel list, I would love to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines. My mom’s whole side of the family is from St. Vincent but I haven’t been back since I was a child, so I would love to go now that I’m older and can appreciate the experience a little more.
