Aimtal team spotlight — Randi Richards
We’re kicking off the Aimtal Spotlight Series by introducing you to Randi (@randirichards), one of our Senior Designers! When she’s not designing absurdly stunning creatives for our clients, she’s basking in the Miami sunshine with her IG-famous golden retriever, Kobe (@englishgoldenkobe). Whether she’s island hopping, kayaking with manatees, or attending a music festival, she’s always doing something that induces FOMO for everyone on the team.
Without further ado, let’s get to know Randi a bit better with a Q+A!
Q: Where were you born, and where do you live now?
A: I was born in Rhode Island aka Little Rhody! I now live in Miami (and happy that I escaped the cold).
Q: What are your favorite ways to spend your free time outside of work?
A: I’m a gym rat. I work out almost every day! I also love spending time at the beach and participating in anything watersport-related.
Q: If you could choose to be an animal, which would you choose?
A: I would choose to be an eagle (or a bird of some type, a cool bird). I’m envious of their views.
Q: Name one marketing mistake many brands make but can easily be avoided.
A: Choosing to not work with an agency to build their brand online, especially on social. My biggest pet peeve is when large companies have bad design flaws. It ruins their brand image.
Q: What are your goals for this year?
A: My goal for this year is to improve my professional skills. I want to continue to advance my skills when it comes to design and marketing.
Q: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
A: Creative, curious, dog-lover.
Q: What are you currently binge-watching?
A: Shameless, YOU, Bachelor, 90 Day Fiance… I’m drowning (help).
Q: You are hosting a dinner party and get to invite 3 famous people (dead or alive), who do you choose?
A: Cardi B, Avicii, Patrick Swayze (so he can teach me the “I’ve had the time of my life” lift)
Q: If you had to pick one artist/song to narrate your life from this point on, what would it be?
A: High on Life – Martin Garrix
Q: How do you take your coffee?
A: Cream (extra) and sugar, unless I’m enjoying some cafecito.
Q: What is one thing you believe every marketer should know?
A: You’re not just “posting on social” when you share on social media. You’re making a possible connection with a prospective customer.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for Aimtal?
A: Remote life! I can’t imagine going back to commuting.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be a vet or a nurse… Until I realized my fear of needles.
Q: What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled to? Which destinations are at the top of your travel list?
A: Grenada, West Indies. The most amazing people with a rich culture. One day I will live in the Caribbean. My goal is to visit every island.
Q: Name a quote that you live by:
A: “You will meet two kinds of people in life: ones who build you up and ones who tear you down. But in the end, you’ll thank them both.”
